Coaching Psychology SIG - Transactional Analysis in Coaching: The mystical lines between Coaching and Therapy - 3rd June

This workshop will explore how Transactional Analysis can be used as a tool within the executive coaching relationship to help clients identify patterns in behaviour, thinking, and belief that may be part of their strengths base or are holding them back.

In the talk, Katherine will explore:

  • What Transactional Analysis is: script, rackets, ego states and games

  • How Transactional Analysis can help clients in growing self-awareness, including tools, activities, and tips

  • How Transactional Analysis can help us develop as coaches: creating a greater understanding of triggers and experiences in the relational space between coach and client

  • How we use Transactional Analysis safely in an executive coaching context and how, based on psychological research and experience, using it differs in the coaching room as opposed to the therapy room.
