North West Network - Rolling Back the Years!

“I don’t want to be coached by my mother”

The headline "I don't want to be coached by my mother" (Age Matters, Coaching at Work July/August 2019) really got us thinking .

Where do we fit with the generations generally known as Baby Boomers/ Generation  X / Generation  Y (or millennials) and now Generation Z?

How are we, with our ideas, values and approaches to coaching, mentoring and supervision experienced  by  much younger clients?

What really matters to young adults?

If they were considering being coached or mentored what kind of conversation would they want and what would their ‘ideal’ coach/mentor be like?

So - what are the implications for us and our practice?

If you would like to explore these questions join us for this afternoon of learning with each other and from a group of young adults who have kindly agreed to share their ideas, hopes, fears and expectations  with us.

Facilitated by the network volunteers John, Mike and Sheila, it will be a practical and interactive session, with mince pies and tea / coffee to keep us going.
