FREE Knowledge Exchange Webinar: Neurobiology of Emotional Intelligence

with Paul Crick, EMCC UK Director of Professional Development

"Psychology deals in metaphor and interpersonal neurobiology deals in the mechanics” ~ Steven Kotler, Author.

This is a myth busting presentation that provides a compelling case for why how we teach and apply emotional intelligence doesn’t go far enough.

Paul helps the audience to explore what’s missing and what we as coaches, supervisors and mentors need to be aware of when we talk about emotional regulation in the context of resilience and developing leaders.

This presentation begins with an understanding of the gaps that occur in the theories of emotional intelligence and psychological safety.

Standing at the intersection of polyvagal theory, attentional neuroscience and our interpersonal neurobiology enables us to see why a four box model of emotional intelligence doesn’t cut it when trying to help clients to resource themselves to be more resilient.

The aim is for the audience to leave with a willingness to update their own approaches to working with clients and to explore the topic of interpersonal neurobiology further.
