Yorkshire Network - Psychometrics and Team Coaching

As coaches we have an ever expanding range of psychological assessment tools to add to their toolkit.  In this interactive session, we'll be asking what benefit  do they really bring to the team coaching process?

Psychometrics and Team Coaching - help or hindrance?

Coaches have an expanding range of psychological assessment tools for their toolkit, offering an insight into behavioural aspects, such as personality, emotional intelligence, values, resilience and leadership style.  But what benefit do they really bring to the team coaching process?  Is there any danger that psychometrics might damage a purist approach to team coaching?

In this interactive session, executive coach and psychometrics specialist Mark Gilroy will share his experiences working with a variety of psychometric tools and facilitate a number of discussions designed to help attendees consider the how, what, when and why of utilising psychometrics as part of their coaching practice.

Key takeaways:

  • Use of a live case study to explore how a psychometric can enhance our practice when working in the team coaching arena
  • Explore the dangers of over-relying on psychometrics and how these can detract from successful team coaching
  • Consider how the latest research into unconscious bias and behavioural economic theory can inform team dynamics
  • An opportunity to receive your personal Margerison-McCann Team Management Profile (RRP £114) as part of the session.
