How To Change a Brain - ONLINE - Open To All - Guildford Network Meeting

Presented by Bev Holden

How to Change a Brain

Our speaker,  Bev Holden, will lead this interactive experience, and will invite you to consider how to be an active and independent thinker as we explore how we might use Appreciation as a 'brain-changer' in our work as Coaches. By making links to neuroscience, tapping into our lived experience, and by experimenting practically together, we will uncover our freshest thinking on this subject.

During our time together we will:

  • Examine the evidence that Appreciation has the power to transform thinking and performance
  • Explore real examples of its impact on individuals and teams
  • Have a real and authentic 'appreciation experience' as part of the session, and reflect on what is true for each of us for this topic
  • Consider how to amplify Appreciation in our coaching practice effectively, through a practical activity
  • Apply our freshest thinking to the current reality that continues to be dominated by Covid-19

Why attend?

This will be an experiential session facilitated in a Thinking Environment(R) with a focus on discussion, exploration and experimentation to reveal the 'wisdom in the room' that will inspire us to weave Appreciation into our work as coaches, leaders and human beings.

About the presenter

Bev Holden is half of The Clear Thinking Partnership, a successful consultancy, now in its teenage years, that offers learning experiences built on a core belief that the way we think dramatically influences our success, and if we can ‘get the head right’ everything else will follow.

Bev has an operational background, has run departments and whole business units, led teams of various sizes in locations all around the UK whilst working for, and learning from, truly inspirational people and brands. Bev has hundreds of hours of training design, facilitation and coaching behind her. She has honed her skills with further study and supervision and continues to find ways to improve on what she does every day. After the perfect grounding with one of the best brands in the world at The Disney Store, Bev spent 5 years with Argos before co-founding The Clear-Thinking Partnership in 2007.

Bev has been qualified as a coach for almost 20 years and coaching has been fundamental to her work. She leads a Community of Practice with her business partner, Kate Miles-Roberts, helping facilitators and coaches to strengthen their skills and access the latest thinking in people and organisational development. She is a Time To Think® Facilitator (and is currently studying to become recognised as a Time To Think Coach), a Certified Clarity Practitioner, and in addition to her BIG PICTURE® Partner status, just for fun, Bev is a trained Laughter Yoga Leader!

The event is ONLINE and a ZOOM link will be sent one week before and one day before the event (please note we will not be recording this event to allow for more open discussions).
