Yorkshire Network - Choices around Supervision for Coaches and Mentors

Kate Pinder
Join us for a lively interactive session talking and exploring all things concerned with supervision of our practice as coaches and mentors.

In line with this year's hot topics, Kate Pinder has kindly agreed to host our next Yorkshire Network Event on the subject of supervision.

At this session we're going to be exploring coaches and mentors experiences of supervision.  What are the good things about it?  What are the things that concern / scare / prevent you from undertaking supervision?  Who expects you to have it?  Have clients ever asked you about supervision? How much should we have? Who with?  What fee?  What might be the pros and cons of individual vs. group supervision?  Come and share your thoughts and experiences and if you've never had supervision, it's an opportunity to see supervision in practice (preferably with a real issue someone wants to share!)

Kate has been a supervisor since doing the Oxford Brookes certificate in supervision 2007/2008 and still attends conferences and development sessions there.  She is a member of the Association of Coaching Supervisors (AoCS) as well as the EMCC and offers both individual and group supervision.  She has written a chapter on group supervision in the following publication - Coaching and Mentoring Supervision: Theory and Practice ed. Bachkirova, Jackson and Clutterbuck (a fellow student and founder member of EMCC!)  She also has coaching, counselling and management qualifications (been around a long time!)

It's set to be a lively interactive session.  We meet for coffee and networking from 10:00am, with Kate's session running 10:30 - 12:30.  Looking forward to seeing you there.
