Cancelling or refunding events

EMCC UK reserves the right to cancel any event or any associated function. In the event of such a cancellation, EMCC UK will refund any monies paid, direct to the purchaser, upon proof of purchase. EMCC UK expressly excludes any liability for any direct or indirect losses or damages howsoever arising as a result of such cancellation and will not, for example, be responsible for any travel or accommodation costs incurred.

In the event of cancellation, EMCC UK will use reasonable endeavours to alert those who have booked to attend an event or purchased tickets and details of any cancellation will be posted on the EMCC UK website. Attendees are responsible for checking this information prior to the event.

The policy for cancellation by those booked to attend an event is as follows:

Cancelling a paid event - With the exception of EMCC UK Conferences and Festivals, a full refund can be given for event booking cancellations, received in writing to [email protected], any time up to 7 days prior to the event. If you cancel any places after this date you will be charged the full amount and a refund will not be given.

Cancelling an EMCC UK Conference or Festival - A full refund can be given for booking cancellations, received in writing to [email protected], any time up to 30 days prior to the event. If you cancel any places after this date you will be charged the full amount and a refund will not be given.

However, in both of the above you may choose instead to send a replacement delegate or to receive a credit to attend another event within a calendar year of the cancellation date. There is no charge for this service.

Cancelling a free event – As a non-profit organisation, it is most appreciated if you inform us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel any places at our free events. We reserve the right to restrict bookings from companies who have a record of persistent no-shows.

No shows – If, for whatsoever reason, you or your delegates do not turn up for the event (a "no show”) this shall be considered a cancellation. You will be charged the full amount for your place and a refund will not be given.
