Knowledge Exchange Event - Climate Change Spotlight Series

Charly Cox and Sarah Flynn's book: Climate Change Coaching: The Power of Connection to Create Climate Action, will be released on 27Jun 22. Get the opportunity to hear from one of the authors as she discusses some of the books themes, and talks from a personal perspective about how her own journey inspired her to become a climate coach. We can learn what it takes to create connection, rather than alienation, when dealing with such a global and imperative issue.

Hosted by Nicola Tait

Nicola Tait is a Human Resources Manager in the Royal Air Force who has been an enthusiastic environment supporter since being very young. In her RAF career it has been a passion to spread environmental awareness, and is now driving sustainable initiatives in her workplace. Recently qualified as a coach she has been seeking ways to combine these passions and was thrilled to find EMCC covering the topic so widely. Eager to get involved she is supporting EMCC on this years Spotlight Series.

Charly Cox

Charly has been a coach for 8 years, having previously built and run her own creative agency in West Africa. She founded the climate change coaches when she realised that powerlessness was holding a lot of us back when it comes to the climate crisis. Charly is an ICF Professional Certified Coach and a trained co-active and relationship systems coach, with over 2600 hours of coaching experience. She previously taught in the Business School at Oxford Brookes University. She is also a professional facilitator to organisations pursuing carbon zero and others in the green economy. Charly passionately believes that coaching has a big role to play in enabling our collective sense of capability and resilience, and she and Sarah Flynn have written a book about this for McGraw Hill Open University Press.
