The forum was established in 2016, originally for L&D/HR specialists responsible for coaching and mentoring in their Third Sector organisations. Since then it has expanded its membership to all employees of Third Sector organisations working as coaches and/or mentors.

Coaches, mentors, sponsors, and other coach or mentor programme stakeholders working in Third Sector organisations.

The forum provides support for its members by making opportunities for them to:

- learn from each other and help to develop best practice

The forum meets online every quarter, with meetings that include informal peer networking and coaching, and guest speakers.

The lead coordinator
Katharine St John-Brooks – After careers as an adviser to ministers as a senior civil servant and as a management consultant, Katharine St John-Brooks trained as an independent executive coach in 2003. She is the author of Internal Coaching: The Inside Story (Karnac Books, 2014), and has contributed chapters on internal coaching to four coaching books over the past five years, including the Complete Handbook of Coaching. She is currently writing a series of thrillers, with a coach as the principal character.
