Cancelled: Guildford Network Meeting - Coaching With The Body

Presented by Aboodi Shabi

Somatic Coaching - Using The Body In Coaching - Online

Working with the body in coaching

We might think of coaching as a talking profession – the client talks about an issue, and the coach listens and asks questions. But we are not disembodied voices – there is a body doing the talking, and a body doing the listening and asking. And, outside the coaching session, the client’s body (in addition to their words) affects how they show up in life and the impact they make.

In this session, Aboodi will look at how to work with the body in coaching, working with the coach’s awareness of their own body, and bringing the client’s awareness to their body, and what it reveals and has to say, to support them in exploring and understanding their coaching issues more deeply, and to develop somatic practices to build range and increase effectiveness.

Why attend?

This will be a session where you will have the chance to develop your understanding of working with the body in coaching, and understand the impact of working in this way. You will come away with greater awareness of the power of somatic coaching and some useful tools to incorporate into your own coaching practice.
