101 Coaching Supervision Techniques

Michelle Lucas
For supervisors whose practice is continuously evolving, this webinar led by Michelle Lucas is a wonderful opportunity to road-test alternative approaches to supervision with your peers in a safe environment. Although the webinar is primarily aimed at supervisors, coaches and mentors are also welcome, to gain a better understanding of supervision.

The webinar, on 27 May, is based on Michelle Lucas’s new book, 101 Coaching Supervision Techniques, Approaches, Enquiries and Experiments. Following the approach of the book, the webinar offers coaching supervisors an opportunity to experiment with some of the novel techniques Michelle discovered while she was editing and compiling the book with 42 other seasoned contributors.

After a short introduction to the book and input on a few of Michelle’s favourite techniques, we will split into triads in breakout rooms. This will give everyone the opportunity to experiment with one of the supervision techniques with our peers. The session will conclude by sharing learning and insight from applying the techniques. Michelle will stay online at the close of the session to take any general questions.

This event is intended for professional supervisors of all levels of experience, and will be a highly practical and experiential session. Michelle’s new book prompts us to question our existing supervision repertoire – what else might work for us and our clients? What might we play with and keep? What might we play with and discard?

If, like Michelle, your sense of your practice is continuously evolving, this webinar is a wonderful opportunity to road-test alternative approaches in a safe environment. Engaging with your peers, you will be encouraged to notice what is and is not congruent with your practice as you know it now. And we hope it brings with it an invitation to disrupt what you have become comfortable with and to extend your repertoire (within your existing philosophical stance or outside of it) in an ethical manner.
