Suffolk Coaching and Mentoring Partnership
The Suffolk Coaching and Mentoring Partnership is made up of different private and public sector organisations covering Suffolk. Its aim is to raise the profile of coaching and mentoring and to provide professional, qualified and quality coaching to the participating organisations.
The SCMP was founded in 2010 to support and develop people who are already performing well and who want to realise their potential. It makes coaching accessible and enables people to receive coaching from vetted and trained coaches outside of their own organisation.
The coaching is operated on a reciprocal basis and is free, so for every coach that a partner puts into the coaching pool they can draw 2 coachee places for their organisation. The partnership has grown and now has in excess of 80 coaches in the pool. Each Autumn an ILM5 Coaching and Mentoring programme is run by Suffolk County Council to train people who are interested in becoming a coach.
The mentoring arm of the partnership has been in existence and operating successfully since 2008, this is being refreshed in Spring 2013 to attract new mentors to help support and develop talented people in our Suffolk (and neighbouring) organisations.
