Schools and Early Years Conference 2017:  Creating a Coaching Culture in Schools – How and Why?
Thursday 29th June 2017, The Studio, 7 Cannon Street, Birmingham, B2 5EP

The concept of a ‘coaching culture’ in schools is gaining ground largely because of the positive impact it has achieved for those who have pioneered the practice. But what is a ‘coaching culture’ and what benefits does it generate? How do you start and what happens along the way?
This conference will highlight examples of best practice from schools exploring their journey, from starting out to successful achievement of embedding and implementation of a coaching culture within their school. Find out more and book your place here.

Using Coaching and Mentoring to Maximise Learner and Staff Performance in the FE & Skills Sector

Thursday 15th June 2017
East Midlands (Nottingham University Conference Centre)

The EMCC UK Conference will provide delegates with an insight into the core ingredients of effective coaching and mentoring to support students and staff to maximise their potential and performance. In an ever-changing educational landscape, there has never been a better time for those in the Further Education and Skills Sector to explore how coaching and mentoring can support high performance for students, staff and leaders and managers.

Coaching and mentoring is being used widely across the sector and this Conference is designed to provide delegates with a practical insight into the key principles of effective coaching and mentoring in Further Education and Skills. At a time when funding is even more strained, looking for new and cost effective ways to improve performance is at top of everyone’s agenda. At this Conference delegates will explore the impact of coaching and mentoring to assess its real value to students, staff and organisational performance. Case studies and practical networking sessions will help delegates understand the many elements that have led to successful coaching and mentoring programmes across a range of providers. There will be sessions focused on coaching and mentoring for students, staff and leaders and managers. There will also be a great opportunity to listen to the experience of many professional coaches and mentors who have a wide range of experience working in the sector.

Venue: The conference will be at the University of Nottingham Conference Facilities, The Exchange Building, Jubilee Campus, Wollaton Road, Nottingham, NG8 1BB from 10am to 4.30pm and lunch will be provided. Refreshments will be available from 9.15, with registration and networking until 10am.
